Vertical Machining Center – 5-Axis High Performance

The Mikron MILL P 800 U is a very robust, stable and accurate machining center in a gantry-type design. This five-axis Milling solution is designed for high-performance machining applications. For best accuracy and surface finish by simultaneous operation, the machine has water-cooled direct drives in the rotary and swiveling axes. These axes can be clamped to reach even a higher stiffness during roughing. Workpiece access is made easy by the big door and the short distance to the work table. Thanks to its unique concept and its modularity, the machine ensures precise machining applications in both single item and fast, productive serial production.

This provides the best manufacturing capability in, for example, the production of flow parts and molds requiring high dynamic movements, as well as, high Spindle speeds of up to 36’000 rpm.  Ensure best surface quality up to Ra 0.2 µm and very high precision down to 0.002 mm. Perfect your heavy-duty production of prototypes, parts, and mold and die tools in small to large batches.  Easily tackle roughing and finishing of heavy (ᴓ 800 x 500 mm) up to 800kg parts – including complex molds – in the shortest time possible in a single set-up on the same machine.  Perfect integration into your workshop, however compact, is ensured by this solution’s unique Automation through the machine center. Execute both Milling and Turning applications on the same machine with the Mikron MILL P 800 U ST and achieve high removal rates and high precision on round and flow parts.
